The present invention relates to an electrode for electrolysis and a method for manufacturing the same. The electrode for electrolysis of the present invention has a more developed needle-like structure of rare earth metals compared with conventional electrodes, and thus the detachment of catalytic materials is suppressed and the durability is excellent, showing stable performance even in reverse current flow. Further, since the electrode for electrolysis of the present invention has a low overvoltage value, the overvoltage requirement of an electrolytic cell can be remarkably reduced.
