PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a coin processing apparatus that easily finds a rare short circuit of an FPC cable in the coin processing apparatus which is hard to find because of a low occurrence frequency and accompanied by very large damage, and prevents coins from being dispensed abnormally owing to the rare short circuit.
SOLUTION : The coin processing apparatus detects a signal passing through the FPC cable as a voltage value, identifies the detected voltage value as one of three high, low, and intermediate potentials, and detects the intermediate potential among the three potentials to easily find the rare short circuit of the FPC cable. The coin processing apparatus stops functions of respective parts and so on by outputting a fault signal on detecting the intermediate potential in the case of trouble caused by the rare short circuit.
