PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a catalyst for catalytically cracking hydrocarbon oil, in which an alternative (alkaline-earth metal) to a rare earth metal is mixed to improve the hydrothermal stability while using the rare earth metal and specific phosphorus/aluminum is mixed, so that a poisoning effect of the alkaline-earth metal on acid sites of zeolite can be alleviated and which can consequently allow gasoline to be obtained in high yield while keeping an octane number.
SOLUTION : The catalyst for catalytically cracking hydrocarbon oil contains 20-50 mass% sodalite cage-including zeolite, 10-30 mass% silica sol-derived silicon in terms of SiO2, 0.1-21 mass% aluminum dihydrogen phosphate-derived phosphorus/aluminum in terms of Al2O3-3P2O5, 0.01-10 mass% alkaline-earth metal in terms of an oxide thereof, 5-65 mass% clay mineral. The molar ratio of the aluminum dihydrogen phosphate-derived phosphorus to the alkaline-earth metal is 0.1-100.
