简介 PURPOSE : Phosphor particles are provided to have improved excited light absorbance in case the phosphor particles are dispersed in medium like resin and inorganic glass, and to restrain separation between a capsulated resin and a phosphor particle by interfacial stress due to thermal expansion difference between them. CONSTITUTION : Phosphor particles comprise a garnet phase having chemical formula 1 : (A_(1-x)B_x)_3C_5O_12, has a shape of spherical polycrystalline secondary particles consisting of many primary particles. The secondary particles have average particle size of 5-50 micron. In chemical formula 1, A is an rare earth element selected from Y, Gd, and Lu, B is at least one rare earth element selected from Ce, Nd, and Tb, C is at least one element selected from Al and Ga, and X is a number from 0.002-0.2.
