PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for adsorbing and removing heavy metals in a short time and sufficiently, and an apparatus for it. SOLUTION : This removing apparatus for heavy metal includes : a vessel 10 storing contaminated soil and water; an agitation means 11 agitating and mixing the contaminated soil and water, and floating up heavy metal ions attached to earth particles in pore water present among earth particles and supernatant; and an adsorption device having an electrode unit having multiple electrodes 12 disposed with given spaces, and an applying means 13 applying voltage between adjacent electrodes 12. The method of the present invention comprises a process for storing contaminated soil in the vessel 10, adding water for agitating and mixing and for floating up heavy metal ions attached to earth particles in pore water present among earth particles and supernatant; and a process for inserting the electrode unit having multiple electrodes 12 into the contaminated soil, and applying voltage between adjacent electrodes 12.
