PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a system for easily and quickly inputting handwritten kanji (asian ideogram) for recognition in consideration that the handwritten recognition is reduced in input speed because of complexity of kanji and avoidance of gyosho style(semi-cursive style of writing) writing. SOLUTION : An ideogram is input, western language handwritten character recognition is performed as an ink stroke, and an effective character string is generated from a rare pinyin lattice to obtain a word lattice.
