PURPOSE : A manufacturing method of a flexible display device is provided to form a coating layer on a rare side of a flexible substrate after etching a part of a rear side of the flexible substrate before forming a display device on the flexible substrate.
CONSTITUTION : A coating layer(220) is formed in the rear side of a metal substrate(200) after removing a protective film on a rear side of a metal substrate. The coating layer is formed by coating a colorless transparent organic material. The coating layer planarizes the rear side of the metal substrate.
