简介 To provide a diffusion source that improves magnet properties, such as suppression of decrease in high coercivity (H) and remanent magnetic flux density (B) of R-T-B sintered magnet, without using heavy rare earth elements (RH) such as Dy and Tb as much as possible.SOLUTION : A diffusion source comprises a powder of a Pr-Ga alloy, where, the Pr-Ga alloy powder comprises particles of an intermetallic compound with an average crystal grain size of more than 3 μm, with its particle cross section being a flake shape. In the diffusion source, an Nd content in the Pr-Ga alloy is lower than or equal to a content of inevitable impurities. There is also provided a production method in which : a diffusion source 30 including Pr and Ga with a modified structure and an R-T-B sintered magnetic material 100 are disposed in a treatment vessel to diffuse Pr and Ga from particles having a uniformed structure of the Pr-Ga alloy powder, thereby obtaining a sintered magnet of high Band H.SELECTED DRAWING : Figure 1B
