PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a molding material capable of producing a molded article excellent in physical properties, such as hardness, in re-using effectively a slurry generated upon cutting a silicone ingot under cooling by a cutting liquid. SOLUTION : Slurry containing metallic silicone powder as cutting-waste material and silicone powder contained in a cutting liquid, which is produced by cutting a silicone ingot 1 with a blade 2 under introducing a cutting liquid 3 in which silicone powder is dispersed, is recovered and dried to give a mixed powder of the metallic silicone powder and the silicone powder, and the mixture is blended with a thermosetting resin to give a molded material.
