PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a sheet conveying system and an image forming system which can enhance productivity in double-sided printing by a simple configuration.
SOLUTION : There are arranged : a first conveying path 50; a second conveying path 51 for re-conveying a sheet conveyed from the first conveying path 50 to the first conveying path 50; a reversal conveying roller pair 6 which conveys the sheet from the first conveying path 50 by a positive rotation, and conveys the sheet to the second conveying path 51 by reverse rotation; a re-conveying roller pair 7 provided in the second conveying path 51 for re-conveying the sheet to the first conveying path 50 by the reverse rotation of the reversal conveying roller pair 6; and a sheet conveying control part 8 which pauses a roller coming into contact with a succeeding sheet of the re-conveying roller pair 7 while rotating a roller coming into contact with a preceding sheet of the re-conveying roller pair 7 so that, after the preceding sheet and the succeeding sheet conveyed by the reversal conveying roller pair 6 are one over the other pinched by the re-conveying roller pair 7, the preceding sheet is conveyed to the first conveying path 50 as the succeeding sheet is stopped in the second conveying path 51.
