The engine (12) has an exhaust gas collector (20) and an air supply line (14) that comprises a recirculation loop (10) for recirculation of exhaust gas. An inlet (22) of the recirculation loop is connected to the collector. A filter (26) is arranged in the inlet, and stops particles with a catalytic phase. The line comprises a cooler (44) for cooling a part of gas circulating in the loop. The line comprises an air stopper that is connected to air conduits (50) to separate the air conduits from air. The catalytic phase includes an active oxidation phase and oxidation phase that include elements chosen among a group consisting of transition metal oxides and rare earth oxides. The catalytic phase comprises a noble metal that is chosen in a group consisting of platinum and palladium. |
