This non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises a positive electrode active material (A) which comprises at least one compound selected from lithium cobaltate and nickel-cobalt-(lithium manganate) and in which microparticles of at least one compound selected from hydroxides and oxyhydroxides of rare earth elements are adhered on the surfaces of particles of the active material (A) and a positive electrode active material (B) which comprises at least one compound selected from lithium molybdate and lithium tungstate, and is characterized in that the content of the positive electrode active material (B) is 0.01 to 2.0 mass% inclusive relative to the amount of the positive electrode active material mix. This non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery has excellent charge-discharge cycle properties under high temperatures even when the charge potential is increased, and does not undergo battery swelling. |
