PURPOSE : A purification method of organic solvent is provided to decompose impurities having boiling point similar with propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate and to minimize the loss of propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate by using an aryloxide based compound.
CONSTITUTION : A purification method of organic solvent comprises : a step of preparing organic solvent mixture comprising propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate and impurities; and a step of removing the impurities by reacting aryloxide based compound into the organic solvent mixture. The impurities are selected from propionate based compounds, and ketone based compounds. The aryloxide based compound is in chemical formula 1 : Ar-O-M, and Ar is selected from phenyl, methylphenyl, and 2, 6-di-t-butyl-4-methyl, and M is selected from Na, K, Co, Ga, Ge, Hf, Fe, Ni, Nb, Mo, La, Re, Sc, Si, Ti, Ta, W, Y and Zr.
