PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electrodeless discharge lamp device as well as a lighting fixture using the same, capable of restraining degradation of lamp performance of the electrodeless discharge lamp due to impurities remaining inside a bulb.SOLUTION : The electrodeless discharge lamp 16 is provided with a translucent bulb 1 with rare gas as discharge gas and mercury sealed in, and an induction coil 4 for generating a high-frequency electromagnetic field with supply of high-frequency current. The induction coil 4 is structured of a first coil 4a arranged in the vicinity of the maximum diameter of a bulb body 1a in a length direction of an exhaust capillary 5, and a second coil 4b arrange at the other end side of the exhaust capillary 5. A lighting device 14 for lighting the electrodeless discharge lamp 16 is equipped with a clocking means for clocking an accumulated lighting time of the electrodeless discharge lamp 16. Until the accumulated lighting time clocked by the clocking means reaches a given time, high-frequency current is passed to the second coil 4b, and, after that, the high-frequency current is passed to the first coil 4a.COPYRIGHT : (C)2012, JPO&INPIT |
