PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a color rendering ceramic product which is constituted so as to easily exhibit color rendering property in a low cost, and a colorant. SOLUTION : A first color rendering ceramic product is produced by forming a ceramic raw material containing fine particles of at least one oxide of a rare earth element selected from holmium, praseodymium, neodymium, and erbium into a prescribed form and then firing the formed body. A second color rendering ceramic product is produced by coating the surface of a ceramic raw material formed into a prescribed form with a colorant containing fine particles of at least one oxide of a rare earth element selected from holmium, praseodymium, neodymium, and erbium and then firing the coated raw material. The preferable average particle diameter of the fine particles of the oxide of the rare earth element mentioned above is in the range of 0.01 to 20 μm. |
