PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To solve a problem that it is not rare that a user obtains only an unexpected output result different from an assumption during photographing because a workflow, which is a work process leading to a final output medium, can be complicatedly affected by control parameter values of the apparatus, characteristics of the medium, and so on.
SOLUTION : An imaging apparatus comprises : an acquiring section to acquire a light and shade reproduction range, which is a reproducible light and shade range of an output medium determined by a workflow leading to the output medium; a region designation section to designate a specific area of a subject; a computing section to compute a regional light and shade range, which is a light and shade range of a specific area designated by the region designation section; and a display to display the light and shade reproduction range and the regional light and shade range so that they can be compared.
