PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide new and easy method and device for recovering a rare metal from a high-level radioactive waste liquid.
SOLUTION : A high-level radioactive waste liquid containing a rare metal ion and/or a rare metal oxide ion is introduced in a first tank in which an anode electrode and a cathode electrode are oppositely arranged. By applying a voltage between the anode electrode and the cathode electrode, the rare metal ion and/or the rare metal oxide ion are/is deposited on the cathode electrode as a rare metal and/or a rare metal oxide. After that, the rare metal and/or the rare metal oxide deposited on the cathode electrode are/is recovered by using a scraper.
