FIELD : chemistry.
SUBSTANCE : in the method of producing modified 1, 4-cis polybutadiene in an inert organic solvent in the presence of a catalyst system consisting of a rare-earth metal salt of an organic acid, butadiene, an alkylating and chlorinating agent, followed by treatment of the polymerisation product with a modifying additive based on organohalogen compounds, the modifying additive used is aryl methyl halides in amount of (0.01-0.02)% of the weight of rubber, having general formula C6H4 (C3-nX3)2, where X is a halogen, n=2-3. Modification is carried out at temperature 60-90°C for 10-60 minutes.
EFFECT : obtaining rubber with low polydispersity index, controlled plasticity and cold flow.
