PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an organic light-emitting device which can simply form an intermediate layer under atmospheric pressure and exhibit superior light-emitting efficiency. ŽSOLUTION : An organic light-emitting device has a light-emitting layer between a cathode and an anode, and an intermediate layer in contact with the cathode between the light-emitting layer and the cathode. The intermediate layer includes one or more kinds of metal complexes selected from an alkali metal complex and an alkali earth metal complex, and high polymer compounds.
