PURPOSE : A heat-resistant magnesium alloy for gravity casting having excellent creep-resistance is provided to improve high temperature tensile strength and creep resistance by additionally adding mischmetal to the magnesium alloy.
CONSTITUTION : A heat-resistant magnesium alloy for gravity casting having excellent creep-resistance comprises magnesium. Neodymium 1.00-3.00 weight%%, mischmetal 2.00-6.00 weight%%, zind 0.10-1.00 weight%%, zirconium 0.10-1.00 weight%%, yttrium 0.01-0.05 weight%%, and calcium 0.01-0.10 weight%% are added to the magnesium.
