PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an input device mainly used for operations of various electronic devices, which can be easily handled and on which various operations can be performed.
SOLUTION : At least one of rotation operation means 36 or press operation means 46 is disposed on a side face or a back face of a touch panel 28 as position detecting means, and control means 47 generates a predetermined driving signal in accordance with an operation of either of the means. In selecting a menu displayed on a display element 7 or the like, a user can move a cursor and select or confirm a desired menu or the like by simply operating the rotation operation means 36 and the press operation means 46. Consequently, an input device which can be easily handled and on which various operations can be performed with rare occurrences of incorrect operations can be provided.
