PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a raw material purification tool and a raw material purification device for manufacturing a rare-earth halide material reduced in impurity, and to provide a method for growing a scintillation single crystal used for a scintillation detector by using a raw material which is purified by the device.
SOLUTION : The purification device of the rare-earth halide raw material purifies the raw material used for growing the scintillation single crystal used for the scintillation detector, and is composed of : a raw material accommodation part which accommodates an impurity-adhering body using a treated raw material and quartz as main raw materials; a heater, such as an electric furnace, for melting the raw material accommodated in the raw material accommodation part; a passage for the purified raw material; and an accommodation part of the purified raw material.
