PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a plasma jet spark plug having high ignitability and high durability.
SOLUTION : In the plasma jet spark plug, at least the tip of a center electrode including the tip surface contains an oxide of at least one kind of rare-earth element and W. Total of the content percentage of the oxide of rare-earth element is 0.5-10 percent by mass, and the content percentage of W is 90 percent by mass or more, or the tip contains 0.3-3 percent by mass of Ir and 97 percent by mass or more of W.
