PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an apparatus for manufacturing raw alloys for rare earth magnets, which reduces manufacturing cost, in the step of hydrogen storage for storing hydrogen in the raw alloy for rare earth magnets, by shortening the step without reducing the magnetic characteristic and also to provide a manufacturing method thereof.
SOLUTION : The apparatus for manufacturing raw alloys for rare earth magnets includes : a hydrogen storing chamber 10 which stores hydrogen in the raw alloys for rare earth magnets stored in a treatment vessel 50; and a conveyor 5 which conveys the vessel 50 into the chamber 10. The apparatus is characterized by providing a heater 24 which is positioned on the conveyor 5 or upstream of the conveyor 5 and heats the vessel 50.
