PURPOSE : Thermoelectric materials, a thermoelectric module including the same, and a thermoelectric apparatus including the same are provided to obtain the high seebeck coefficient and the electric conductivity of the materials.
CONSTITUTION : Thermoelectric materials includes a compound which is represented by chemical formula A_a R_b T_(3±n). In the chemical formula, the A is one or more elements selected from a group including first group elements, second group elements, and transition metals. The R is rear earth elements. The T is one or more elements selected from a group including S, Se, Te, P, As, Sb, Bi, C, Si, Ge, Sn, B, Al, Ga, and In. The a and the b are more than 0 and are less than or equal to 1. The n is more than or equal to 0 and is less than 1. The compound includes a two dimensional layered structure. A block layer composed of the R and the T is interposed between a bilayer composed of the T. The A is inserted between the layers, and the R is substituted with the A.
