PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a Y-T-B system permanent magnet having a practicable coercive force whose reduction due to a temperature rise is extremely small in a temperature range equal to or less than 150°C.
SOLUTION : In a Y-T-B permanent magnet, by making the composition thereof proper, especially, by setting the amount of Y and B to be larger than the stoichiometry composition of Y2T14B and making the composition satisfy a formula of YxT(100-x-z)Bz (13≤x≤20, 7≤z≤20), a magnet having a practicable coercive force can be obtained with a Y2T14B phase having a small anisotropy magnetic field as a main phase.
