PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method and an apparatus for recycling waste, which recycles wastes such as computer, cell phone, electric wire, mixed waste, using superheated steam.
SOLUTION : Wastes are supplied to a kiln 12 that keeps a kiln temperature of 200-800°C by blowing superheated steam to the kiln and heat-treated. In the wastes such as a computer, cell phone, electric wire, mixed waste, etc., only carbon except a rare metal, iron, copper, lead, aluminum, etc., is carbonized or vaporized. Consequently, even if the wastes are composite materials of a metal and a resin molded product, the wastes are supplied to the kiln as they are, only carbon of the resin molded product is carbonized or vaporized, to give only the metal or a mixture of the metal and carbonized material, only the metal is easily separated and taken out and the metal and the carbonized material are recycled.
