PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a photoelectric converter developing high conversion efficiency.
SOLUTION : In a photoelectric converter having at least one or more photoelectric conversion units, a first wavelength conversion unit containing a rare earth element is arranged on the light incident side in the photoelectric conversion unit disposed nearest on the light incident side out of the one or more photoelectric conversion units, or a second wavelength conversion unit containing a rare earth element is arranged on an opposite side of the light incident side in the photoelectric conversion unit disposed furthest from the light incident side out of the one or more photoelectric conversion units. Thus, the photoelectric converter has a function to convert a wavelength to a wavelength effective for photoelectric conversion.
