The invention relates to a slip catalyst (1) for reducing an NO2 content in an exhaust system (3) of an internal combustion engine through which an exhaust stream (2) flows, in particular an exhaust system (3) of a diesel engine, having an oxidation catalyst (4) for forming NO2 and a particle filter (5) arranged downstream to bond soot particles and for simultaneous and/or subsequent reaction thereof with NO2 formed on the oxidation catalyst (4), comprising a substrate having a coating, which reduces a portion of NO2 in the exhaust stream (2) flowing through. According to the invention, the coating has at least two elements from the group of rare earth metals, being present in the form of a salt or oxide or element and in a concentration in the coating of more than 300.00 g/m3. The invention further relates to an exhaust system (3) of an internal combustion engine comprising an exhaust cleaning device (8), through which an exhaust stream (2) flows, having an oxidation catalyst (4) and, optionally, a particle filter (5), wherein there is a slip catalyst (1) according to the invention arranged downstream to reduce an NO2 content in the exhaust system (3) through which the exhaust stream (2) flows. |
