PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a dielectric porcelain composition having improved reliability, a good specific dielectric constant and good temperature characteristics and an electronic component produced by applying the composition.SOLUTION : The dielectric porcelain composition includes a principal component selected from among BaTiO3, (Ba, Ca)TiO3, (Ba, Sr)TiO3 and (Ba, Ca, Sr)TiO3, an oxide of a rare earth element, and a complex compound containing Ba in a content of 9-13 mol by complex compound conversion. The dielectric porcelain composition has surface diffusion particles each having a surface diffusion structure consisting of a non-diffusive phase and a diffusive phase containing R element. In the surface diffusion particle, when the area captured by the non-diffusive phase is expressed as S1 and the area captured by the diffusive phase is expressed by S2, S1 : S2=20 : 80 to 30 : 70 (provided that S1=30 and S2=70 are excluded), and when the average concentration of the R element in the surface diffusion particles is expressed by C, 4.8≤S2×C≤5.8.COPYRIGHT : (C)2011, JPO&INPIT |
