PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an elastic and strong luminal structure, and also to provide a method for producing the luminal structure.
SOLUTION : The luminal structure 100 is a lumen made of a collagen gel molded body. Collagen fibers 200 are oriented in the circumference direction or helically with respect to the axis of the lumen. The method for producing the luminal structure 100 includes : a molding step in which a luminal collagen structure is formed by putting a mixed aqueous solution of collagen aqueous solution and a crosslinking agent solution into a tubular mold and by crosslinking and fibrosing the mixed solution; a heat treatment step in which a bar member is inserted into the inside of the tube of the luminal collagen structure so as to carry out heat treatment at a temperature equal to or higher than the denaturing temperature; and a re-crosslinking step in which a crosslinking agent is added after the heat treatment step to carry out re-crosslinking. For example, an aqueous carbodiimide is used as the crosslinking agent.
