PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a solution containing a rare earth tris (organophosphate) and a hydrocarbon solvent and stable from precipitation of the rare earth tris (organophosphate) for at least about 30 days.
SOLUTION : The rare earth tris(organophosphate) solution contains (a) the rare earth tris (organophosphate), (b) the hydrocarbon solvent, (c) water and (d) a stabilizing additive, wherein the molar ratio of water to the rare earth element is ≤2 or thereabout and the molar ratio of the stabilizing additive to the rare earth element is ≤5 or thereabout.
