PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a discharge lamp capable of stably lighting at low power.
SOLUTION : The discharge lamp is a mercury-free vehicle discharge lamp which is stably lighted at power of 18-30 W at a regular state. The discharge lamp : is provided in a light-emitting section, and encloses a discharge medium including metal halide and a rare gas, and has a discharge space where electrodes are arranged; and satisfies a relation 1 of -40≤(a-35)×5.5+(x-13.5)×10+(1.85-t)×100+(2.5-d)×100≤40. Wherein, a is an electric power (W) supplied during stable lighting and 18≤a≤30, x is a pressure (atm) of the rare gas enclosed in the discharge space, t is a thickness (mm) at the maximum thickness part of a light-emitting section, and d is an inner diameter (mm) at the maximum thickness part of the light-emitting section.
