简介 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To reduce consumption of an electrode for discharge processing, which uses copper as a base material, and to improve a processing speed.SOLUTION : Alkaline-earth boric acid and rare-earth boric acid are added with copper as a base material, and they are uniformly dispersed. Thereby, discharge takes place from the entire surface of an electrode, electrode exhaustion decreases, and discharge processing speed also increases. In particular, this effect is noticeable in a case where a work piece is ferrous. Further, an electrode can be manufactured relatively at low cost. By adding strontium borate to copper, exhaustion is reduced, and a processing speed, especially for ferrous material, is increased.SELECTED DRAWING : None
