PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an agent of decreasing carbon dioxide constituted of a porous body of diatomaceous-earth/zeolite and of a thermally decomposed carbon dioxide source deposited thereon, which agent causes carbon dioxide adsorbed in the porous body of diatomaceous-earth/zeolite to thermally decompose; and a method of producing fuel.
SOLUTION : The agent of decreasing carbon dioxide is produced by mixing porous diatomaceous-earth/zeolite with a carbon dioxide source, and heating the mixture to decompose the carbon dioxide source deposited thereon. The agent of decreasing carbon dioxide utilizes a material of a large surface area, i.e., a porous body of diatomaceous-earth/zeolite, which is cheap and can stably be supplied by employing a dry-type reactivation/absorption technique, and is excellent in cost effectiveness thanks to it that it can repeatedly be used. There is disclosed a method of producing fuel.
