A drying machine includes a first air duct 9 with a first blowoff opening 8 opened at a rare side of a drum 1; a second air duct 11 with a second blowoff opening 10 opened at a front side of the drum 1, the second blowoff opening 10 having a smaller cross-sectional blowing area than that of the first blowoff opening 8; wherein an air duct is switched between said first air duct and said second air duct in a drying process based on a result of determination by the entanglement determination section which determines if an entanglement of clothes has occurred in the drum 1, and where the first air duct 9 is selected, drying air of larger airflow quantity than that where the second air duct 11 is selected is spouted from the first blowoff opening 8, and where the second air duct 11 is selected, drying air at higher pressure and higher speed is spouted from the second blowoff opening than that where the first air duct 9 is selected. |
