PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a touch panel display in which malfunction is rare even under an environment where external light is weak, and to which input can be made without using a special pen and furthermore input can be made even when an image is indicated in black.
SOLUTION : The touch panel display 100 includes : a display cell 4 which has a pair of opposite substrates 23 and 24 and in which a principal plane 23a opposite to the other side substrate 24 on at least one side of the substrate 23 forms an uneven shape 23, and a shape deformation layer 12 provided at the side of the principal plane 23a which forms the concavo-convex shape of the substrate 23 of the display cell 4. The shape deformation layer 12 and the principal plane 23a which forms the uneven shape of the substrate are partially or completely separated and when the touch panel display 100 is pressed, the shape deformation layer 12 is reversibly deformed by the concavo-convex shape.
