PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an assisting tool for a hoe and the hoe capable of considerably lowering labor in a field of bamboo shoot digging work, agricultural work, civil engineering work, or the like.
SOLUTION : The assisting tool 10 for the hoe includes a fixing portion 11 to be attached to a root part of a handle 2 of the hoe 1 and a footplate 12 attached to the fixing portion 11 and directing opposite to a blade 3 of the hoe. The assisting tool 10 for the hoe is attached to the root part of the handle 2 of the hoe 1, the blade 3 of the hoe 1 is driven into ground G, body weight is applied by placing a foot on the footplate 12 of the opposite side, and the bamboo shoot or earth is dug up with the blade 3 of the hoe 1 driven into the ground G taking advantage of the principle of leverage. The footplate 41 may be integrally formed at the back of a blade fixing portion 5 of the blade 3 of the hoe 40.
