PURPOSE : A strip casting apparatus is provided to enable the uniform formation of the microcrystal structure of a mother alloy strip since the mother alloy strip is secondly cooled. CONSTITUTION : A strip casting apparatus comprises a strip casting chamber(11) and a cool chamber(21). The strip casting chamber has a melting crucible(13) and a cooling roller(15). The melting crucible contains mother alloy melt for rare earth magnets. The cooling roller firstly cools mother alloy melt and casts a mother alloy strip(5). The cooling chamber secondly cools the mother alloy strip with the cooling gas. |
