PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To inexpensively provide a magnetic field generating member of which the tendency to deform due to a reduction in its diameter is suppressed and of which the warpage caused by a difference between members in a coefficient of linear expansion is prevented, and to provide a magnetic particle carrier having the magnetic field generating member, a developing device having the magnetic particle carrier, a process cartridge having the developing device, and an image forming apparatus having the process cartridge.
SOLUTION : The magnetic field generating member 133 includes a body portion 140, a body groove 144, and a magnetic unit 145 formed from a rare earth magnet block 141 and a groove-shaped member 142. The magnet unit 145 is held in the body groove 144 by a pair of holding members 160. Each of the pair of holding members 160 comprises a support portion 161 attached to the body portion 140, and a spring portion 162 continuous with the support portion 161 and energizing the magnetic unit 145 toward the inside of the body groove 144.
