PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an apparatus and a method for the circulation of a gas to a coking furnace which are capable of removing moisture from the gas produced in the coking furnace without using a heat exchanger of a high heat resistant temperature (e.g., 1, 000°C or higher) and are capable of circulating the water-devoid gas into the coking furnace as a feed gas of a low water content (e.g., 8-10%) and a high temperature (e.g., 1, 000°C).
SOLUTION : The apparatus includes an exhaust gas treatment apparatus 22 where the produced gas 3 from a coking furnace 10 is cooled and dedusted to form a circulation gas 4, a re-cooling apparatus 24 where the circulation gas 4 is re-cooled to decrease its moisture content till it reaches a moisture content lower than a specified moisture content of a feed gas 6 which is fed into the coking furnace 10, an indirect heater 26 where the circulation gas 4c re-cooled in the re-cooling apparatus 24 is indirectly heated to a specified intermediate temperature, and a combustion heater 28 where the circulation gas indirectly heated in the indirect heater 26 is mixed with a high-temperature combustion gas to form a feed gas 6 of a specified temperature, wherein the feed gas 6 is fed into the coking furnace 10.
