PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a R-Fe-B sintered magnet, having a conversion coating with a higher corrosion resistance than a conventional conversion coating such as a phosphate coating, and to provide a method of manufacturing the magnet. SOLUTION : A conversion coating (not containing phosphorus) containing at least Zr, Nd, fluorine, and oxygen as constituent elements is directly applied on the surface of the R-Fe-B sintered magnet (R represents rare-earth elements, including at least Nd).
