PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a game device, eliminating a conflicting psychological problem acting on a game player for an operating medium (a rare card or the like) having a low discharge rate to play a game without always carrying a large amount of operating media.
SOLUTION : The game device takes the operating medium such as a card as an operating means for progress of a game. The device includes a substitute card recognizing means for registering character data of an ordinary card selected by the game player as character data of a substitute card in this time game based on ownership information of the normal card associated with game player information when the substitute card is used in the game, and recognizing the substitute card used in this game as the ordinary card possessed by the game player concerned corresponding to the registered character data.
