PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a crucible which is designed so that the problems such as blocking of a tapping port by a re-solidified fixed matter or the like are prevented when refining is performed by forming a molten material by using a crucible having at least a crucible body, the tapping port and a heat insulating cap, and to provide a refining apparatus using the crucible, and a refining method.
SOLUTION : In the first embodiment of the crucible, the crucible includes : a crucible body constituted of a bottom face part and a side face part and having a recessed part with an accommodating port opened at an upper part; a tapping port opened in the side face part; and a heat insulating cap arrangeable on the accommodating port. The heat insulating cap is provided with a first opening part and has a part where the distance from the outer periphery of the accommodating port to the first opening part is larger than the distance from the opening on the recessed part side of the tapping port to the first opening part, in the vertical projection plane in such a state that the heat insulating cap is arranged on the accommodating port.
