PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of manufacturing a rare-earth magnet for manufacturing a bulk magnet using HDDR powder at higher efficiency compared to a conventional one.
SOLUTION : This method of manufacturing the rare-earth magnet includes : a process (a) of preparing the HDDR powder; a process (b) of manufacturing a green compact by molding the HDDR powder; a process (c) of heating the green compact to a predetermined temperature of 500-900°C at a heating speed ≥5°C/sec; a process (d) of obtaining a bulk body having density ≥98% of real density by pressurizing the green compact at a pressure of 20-3, 000 MPa so that a period in which the temporal differential value of dimensional change in the pressurization direction of the green compact is -0.12 to 0.0 mm/min when the pressurization direction is positive is set to 1 to 5 min while the green compact is at the predetermined temperature; and a process (e) of cooling the bulk body from the predetermined temperature to a temperature below 500°C.
