PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide optical glass, wherein polishing can be easily performed and chromatic aberration of a lens can be corrected with high accuracy in spite of having a predetermined high refractive index and low dispersion (high Abbe number), and to provide an optical element and a preform.
SOLUTION : The optical glass contains phosphorus, aluminum, at least two or more kinds of alkaline earth metal elements and at least one kind of rare earth elements as cation components, contains oxygen and fluorine as anion components, has a refractive index (nd) of 1.50-1.65 and Abbe number(νd) of 65-77. The optical element is formed of the optical glass.
