PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a wear resistant steel sheet which has excellent bending workability and is suitable as the one for a member in contact with earth and sand such as a power shovel, and to provide a method for producing the same.
SOLUTION : The steel sheet has a composition comprising, by mass, 0.05 to 0.35% C, 0.05 to 1.0% Si, 0.1 to 2.0% Mn, 0.1 to 1.2% Ti and ≤0.1% Al, and further comprising one or more selected from 0.1 to 1.0% Cu, 0.1 to 2.0% Ni, 0.1 to 1.0% Cr, 0.05 to 1.0% Mo, 0.05 to 1.0% W and 0.0003 to 0.0030% B, and in which DI* is <60, and, when necessary, further comprising one or two selected from 0.005 to 1.0% Nb and 0.005 to 1.0% V, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and has a microstructure in which a base phase a ferrite-bainite phase and in the base phase of which a hard phase is dispersed.
