PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an R-T-B-based rare earth sintered magnet having high magnetic characteristics by reusing the rare earth sintered magnet in which defects, such as crack and chip, exist as a material of the sintered magnet. SOLUTION : The method includes a process of hydrogen pulverizing the sintered magnet of ≤2, 000 ppm in the amount of oxygen, a process of producing a formed body by using a hydrogen pulverized powder, and a process of sintering the formed body. In the case of the low oxygen sintered magnet of ≤2, 000 ppm in the amount of oxygen, a reduction process is not required and even more, the hydrogen pulverization is possible and therefore, the sintered magnet having the high magnetic characteristics can be obtained.
