PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an alkaline storage battery which improves a binder of a negative electrode for the alkaline storage battery and is excellent on high-rate discharge characteristics, low-temperature discharge characteristics, and cycle characteristics, in the alkaline storage battery using a negative electrode for an alkaline storage battery which especially uses Mg-Ni-rare earth system hydrogen occlusion alloy.SOLUTION : In the negative electrode for the alkaline storage battery using a hydrogen occlusion alloy and an emulsion of styrene-butadiene copolymer as a binder, diameters of particles of the styrene-butadiene copolymer in the emulsion are 180 nm or more, and it is preferable that the diameters of particles of the styrene-butadiene copolymer in the emulsion are 180-300 nm.COPYRIGHT : (C)2010, JPO&INPIT |
