PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method and apparatus for dissolving a large amount of remains without requiring a special heating device or the like.
SOLUTION : Acid distilled water 10 stored in a water storage tank 20 is atomized into an ossuary 40 from a waterspout 41 thereof through a pipe 23 by operation of an electric pump 30, wetting remains 11 inside the ossuary and highly humidifying the inside of the ossuary. Then, the remains 11 exposed to the acid distilled water 10 are gradually dissolved. Acid sand 43 spread all over under the remains 11 accelerates the dissolving action of the remains 11. The liquid 12 of the dissolved remains which is made by the remains 11 dissolving is filtered by a gravel 44 layer and a shingle 45 layer, with only the fully dissolved liquid 12 of the remains discharged from an exhaust port 46 of the dissolved liquid. The liquid 12 of the dissolved remains discharged from the exhaust port 46 goes through a pipe 47, is collected in a solution tank 50, and is released into the outside soil from a solution discharging port 52 provided on the upper part of the solution tank 50. According to the invention, crematory remains or ashes can be dissolved in one to thirteen years and returned to the earth.
